A ‘superfecta’ is a type of bet, mainly used in horse races in the USA, in which the bettor must select the first four finishers in exact order.
Different combinations can be calculated and various superfecta bets then made.
This kind of bet is known as an ‘exotic wager’ and most exotic wagers in horse racing have a $1 minimum. Creating many different combinations and betting on them all can therefore soon rack up the stake amounts and therefore demand a hefty bankroll.
