This week was clouded by the news that one of our contributors to the What Really Wins Money newsletter passed away after a short illness.

His name was Duncan McLeod, a Scot with a great passion for betting systems. He had a prodigious collection and raided said collection each month to share some oldie-but-goldie betting systems

He has been writing in the What Really Wins Money newsletter since 2006 so was part of the furniture.

He will be missed.

That sad news has really pre-occupied the week.

From a betting perspective, I am in data collection mode in a number of areas. My main focus is in the information provided at paid-for race cards Geegeez and Proform racing.

Do their ratings produce a profit? Do their daily shortlists provide a profit?

From a footballing perspective, I am also in data collection mode with the www.dailyfootballstats.com service. This does what it says. Provide football stats across a number of different criterion . My job, on your behalf is to find a winning pattern.

That’s it for this week.

One Last Farewell to Duncan, the Patriarch. R.I.P.
