I’ve been doing a bit more number crunching looking for added profit for 4th favourites in 8 runner races.

What did we learn from last week’s eletter?

Well, a focus on the all-weather was a key aspect.

If we focus on 4th favourites in 8 runner races on the all-weather, only when these 4th favourites have had 2 runs at least within the last 3 months, the profit figure has rocketed to 208 points from the last 10 years.

Increase this further by avoiding Monday and Friday. These 2 dates were the only dates in which 4th favourites did not make a profit.

December is the best month for all-weather 4th favourites in 8 runner races.

If we were to focus on pace ( and I have told you in previous eletters how to look at pace via www.attheraces.com and www.racingtv.com racecards, a focus on 4th favourites in 8 runner races when they are leaders , on the all-weather, a 307 point profit to Betfair SP has accrued, with a 72 point Return on Investment.

I’m going to start looking at the all-weather races, particularly with leaders, and with all candidates who have had at least 2 runs within the last 3 months.

I’ll let you know how I get on
