That’s Cheltenham done for another year.

The Betting Doctor came out good on the Friday with a 1-2 in the Gold Cup and around an 11 points profit for the festival.

Superb stuff, considering he did all of his form research in February’s edition of What Really Wins Money.

If you’re not a WRWM member yet please keep your eyes peeled for a VERY special email tomorrow… I can’t wait for you to see this.

And if you’re an existing member you don’t need to do a thing. Just stay tuned because we’ve got some very exciting developments in store.

The horse racing Turf Flat season is yet to get going. It will start appearing on the radar as the Grand National Meeting at Aintree ends. In eletters to come, I’ll be pointing you towards some Flat racing angles which have served me well in seasons past.

As to Aintree, we’ll be covering the best trends before the meeting begins here in the eletter.

There are some great jockey/trainer combinations on the Flat, particularly in Ireland, which you should be aware of.

There’s a great way to unravel that minefield that is 2-year-old Maiden races, and reveal any potential stable gambles. And there’s some great angles based around the draw.

We’ll also be looking at pace and UK racing. It’s a topic I have flirted with in the newsletter and it should be even more important during the Flat season.

If you want to dip your toe into the pace angle, then www.racinguk.com, within their race cards, provide a ‘pace map’ which shows the characteristic of runners, be they leaders, prominent, midfield or held up.

The football is very quiet at the moment as we are in the midst of an international football break. Ample time to explore other sports. Did you check out the tennis at all? The Miami Open is the only major tournament currently. In about three weeks we see the Monte Carlo Masters and a whole wealth of top-quality tennis.

Your job, should you choose to accept it, is to find matches like this one at the Australian Open earlier this year:

J. Fett (ranked 103rd) vs Caroline Wozniacki (ranked 2nd)

3-6 first set to Fett. Wobbles for the World Number 2.

6-2 Caroline second set. Parity restored.

5-1 third set to… Fett!!

40-30 serve…… to Fett!!!

Third set ended 7-5… to Wozniacki, backable at 50/1 in-play.

This summer is a tennis summer as the football ends. So do try and familiarise yourself with the sport as a betting/trading medium. I’ll be helping via the eletter nearer to the Monte Carlo Masters.

So a bit of a haitus at the moment, therefore. International friendlies, twiddling thumbs waiting for the Flat season to start, and a pause until the top-class tennis recommences.
