Selections for Wednesday 29th October 2014

I wrote an article for my eletter on this subject, focussing on Banker Bets and showing you how we can profit from them.

I’ll list some apparent “bankers” in this post, and time permitting, will try to do this daily. I try to look for 1.1 odds or higher. The goal is to win back your initial stake and bank that immediately, then play on, banking profits every £10 or so.

This is not a strategy where I’m trying to create the biggest odds returns. I want a “banker”, a bet which is obvious.

Yesterday

5pm – Dinamo Kiev v Karpaty  – 1.18 home – Both Ukrainian Cup shorties came in convincingly yesterday. More of the same today? 1-0 win

530pm – SV Urk v Ajax   -1.02 away – now the odds can be increased by thinking goals. Over 4.5 goals or the nearest market which offers 1.1 odds 1-4 win

745pm – Shrewsbury v Chelsea -1.28 away – only Atl Madrid and paris St Germain have beaten Chelsea recently. Add Shrewsbury town to that…. I don’t think so. This is the League cup and Chelsea are unbeaten away from home in the league up in 90 minutes . We have narrowed it down to draw and away win. I will opt for the away win. 1-2 to Chelsea

630pm – Novak Djokovic v Philipp Kohlschreiber   – 1.15 Novak. – hardly original but, hey, that’s not the point of the bankers is it! We want “bleedin obvious”

Novak is a semi final or finals man so will rarely lose these early round matches.  1st in the world v 24th and 5 wins to 1 for Novak in head to heads. 2 sets to nil

 Today

1pm – Opatija v Dinamo Zagreb – 1.1 away – the gulf in leagues is such that if Zagreb play a first team, they win with ease.

16:00 UK Zenit St Petersburg v Arsenal Tula – 1.1 home – should win this Russian Cup match.

18:00 UK Magdeburg v Bayer Leverkusen – 1.2 away – German Cup match and Bayer Leverkusen have goals in them if they are up for the cup.

19:00 UK UD Cornella v Real Madrid – 1.04 away – look at over 4.5 goals or something like that

19:45 UK Roma v Cesena – 1.2 home  -Seria A and Roma really should win with ease

To be honest there are tonnes of matches today as it is cup day, where it’s minnows v big teams.

Of the above, I guess Zenit, and Roma would stand out for me.

245pm – Jeremy Chardy v Roger Federer  – 1.11 Federer – he cannot keep winning, but is playing some of his finest tennis for a long, long time.

245pm – Grigor Dimitrov v Pablo Cuevas  – 1.17 Dimitrov – Quarter Final and Final in his last 2 tournaments, Dimitrov is looking to confirm his trip to London. Cuevas is ranked 24th so is handy. Ultra safe perhaps laying 2-0 set wins for Cuevas
