Selections for Sunday 26th October 2014

I wrote an article for my eletter on this subject, focussing on Banker Bets and showing you how we can profit from them.

I’ll list some apparent “bankers” in this post, and time permitting, will try to do this daily. I try to look for 1.1 odds or higher. The goal is to win back your initial stake and bank that immediately, then play on, banking profits every £10 or so.

This is not a strategy where I’m trying to create the biggest odds returns. I want a “banker”, a bet which is obvious.

Yesterday

15:00 UK Dumbarton v Rangers – 1.25 away – a degree of solidity about Rangers in this Championship. Yes, for a banker I would prefer the side to be at home , to give us a better chance  0-3 to Rangers

19:00 UK Valencia v Elche – 1.36 home – an unexpected away loss to Depor is a concern. It was out of the blue. IF they can get over it, then Valencia should win at home. Their home scorelines this season have been either 3-0 or 3-1.  3-1 to Valencia

20:15 UK Arouca v Porto – 1.33 away – 2 away 1-1 draws is a concern for Porto but I see this as a time they can end that draw sequence against an Arouca side who have already lost to Sporting Lisbon and Benfica, the other 2 Portugeuse ” giants”. 0-5 to Porto

Today

14:00 UK Juventus v Palermo – 1.22 home – 4 consecutive wins to nil in head to heads. and must take advantage of Roma’s 0-0 yesterday.

14:00 UK Dinamo Zagreb v Osijek – 1.17 home – last lost a home match in the league in November 2011 ( if my memory serves). You get the idea though! There should be only 2 results possible, home win or draw.

16:00 UK Zenit St Petersburg v Mordovia Saransk – 1.2 home – no research done but Villa Boas has this Zenit side very hard to beat and likely to bring home the odds today.

11am –  Serena Williams v Simona Halep  1.59  – just a mention. Halep won in 2 straight sets very recently against he-man Serena. Surely Serena will not want a 2nd consecutive embarrassing straight sets loss to Halep? Maybe lay Halep 2-0 set win?

130pm –  Roger Federer v David Goffin  1.2 Federer. The old master continues on his merry way. Recently dispatching Dimitrov at bigger odds than today’s.
