I wrote an article for my eletter on this subject, focussing on Banker Bets and showing you how we can profit from them.

I’ll list some apparent “bankers” in this post, and time permitting, will try to do this daily. I try to look for 1.1 odds or higher. The goal is to win back your initial stake and bank that immediately, then play on, banking profits every £10 or so.

This is not a strategy where I’m trying to create the biggest odds returns. I want a “banker”, a bet which is obvious.

Yesterday

11am – Atl Madrid U19 v Malmo U19 – 1.13 home – based solely on the odds. Under 19 football is not the same as first team football. It is more “enthusiastic” shall we say. Players tend to hold on to the ball a bit longer, take players on a bit more, so shocks do about. The hope is Atl Madrid u19 play to their odds.  3-1 home win 

745pm – Atl Madrid v Malmo FF – 1.2 home – solid at home and should win to nil. No research done yet as regards Malmo and their Champions League credentials.

An Atl Madrid double today?  5-0 win  -it was 0-0 at halftime and they were about 1.4 odds for the 2nd half

Tennis – no research done. I must prioritise my football research. Will try and check these matches out before they start.

11am – Pablo Andujar v Tomas Berdych  – 1.12 away – Robo-tennis star Berdych usually a reliable sort.  LOST 2 SETS

1245pm – Andy Murray v Jurgen Melzer  – 1.12 home – with London motivating Andy Murray , I’d expect a win. – won in 2 sets

5pm – Roger Federer v Gilles Muller  – 1.07 home – rumours of Federer’s decline are just that. Impressive in China, beating Djokovic in 2 straight sets. Can we bump up the odds with a 2 sets Fed bet today? – WON IN 2 SETS

7pm – Alexander Zverev v Grigor Dimitrov  – 1.14 Dimitrov – a tad inconsistent but when he’s on his a’game, Dimitrov is superb. – WON IN 3 SETS

Today

805pm – Mgladbach v Apollon Limassol – 1.24 home – Apollon tend to concede a few in the Europa League

805pm – Torino v HJK Helsinki – 1.44 home – not really banker bet odds but I am taken with Torino’s clean sheets in the Europa League. If they can score , that should suffice

Tennis

1230pm – Serena Williams v Eugenie Bouchard  – 1.18 Serena. Having just been spanked by Simona Halep, Serena got in his car and headed off to the gym to do some weights. I don’t expect Mike Tyson’s twin brother to lose 2 consecutive matches. We’ll see. It’s a bet of circumstances today rather than form research. Bouchard is a class act too.

145pm –  Andy Murray v Fabio Fognini  1.13 Andy – 2 set win yesterday and Fognoni I feel is a little light weight. Remember the motivation for London for Andy Murray

3pm – Donald Young v Milos Raonic  – 1.16 Raonic – let us down recently and still has London aspirations.

5pm –  Roger Federer v Denis Istomin  – 1.05 Federer – another 2 set to love win today?

For me today., the riskier bets would be Serena Williams and Milos Raonic.
