I wrote an article for my eletter on this subject, focussing on Banker Bets and showing you how we can profit from them.

I’ll list some apparent “bankers” in this post, and time permitting, will try to do this daily. I try to look for 1.1 odds or higher. The goal is to win back your initial stake and bank that immediately, then play on, banking profits every £10 or so.

This is not a strategy where I’m trying to create the biggest odds returns. I want a “banker”, a bet which is obvious.

I have not looked at all of the shorties given limited time and a broadband connection slower than Teddy Sheringham. I just get a niggling feeling a couple of these might slip up, what with the Champions League a distraction  for the majority.

3pm – Chelsea v QPR – 1.18 home. Chelsea are in great form. Do note that they have an upcoming Champions League match. QPR though seem well out of their depth currently.

15:00 UK Arsenal v Burnley – 1.28 home – only 1 defeat this season for Arsenal and no wins yet for Burnley. One concern is the Champions League match for Arsenal. They have faltered in the past. A 3 match consecutive draw sequence must end and this Burnley side are ideal fodder for that.

15:00 UK Granada v Real Madrid – 1.25 away – make sure all of the usual suspects play today for Real Madrid in light of their Champions League match with a faltering Liverpool

15:00 UK Dumbarton v Rangers – 1.2 away – with Hearts and Hibs slitting each other’s throats, Rangers can consolidate in a league they are finding very comfortable.

17:00 UK Atletico Madrid v Cordoba – 1.22 home – usually reliable sorts at home, although there is always a chance a team like Cordoba could keep us sweating re the breakthrough goal.

19:00 UK Barcelona v Celta Vigo – 1.12 home – the best side in La Liga currently.

20:15 UK Porto v Nacional (Por) – 1.28 home – a degree of congruity here. Porto tend to score 2/3 goals at home and Nacional tend to concede 2/3 away from home this season.
