Selections for Wednesday 4th March 2015

I wrote an article for my eletter on this subject, focussing on Banker Bets and showing you how we can profit from them.

I’ll list some apparent “bankers” in this post, and time permitting, will try to do this daily. I try to look for 1.1 odds or higher. The goal is to win back your initial stake and bank that immediately, then play on, banking profits every £10 or so.

This is not a strategy where I’m trying to create the biggest odds returns. I want a “banker”, a bet which is obvious.

Bankers and Blowouts – the mini-DRT angle.

www.drt.club is my trading service where I do all of my football research. I have noticed that these bankers, whilst sometimes frustrating us with score draws and throwing away 2-0 leads, rarely lose matches. How can you profit? Well are you familiar with football trading? That is, reacting to how a match unfolds in-play? If you are then you would have taken on faith the fact that these bankers rarely lose, and layed Dundee in play , when they were 1-3 up to bankers Aberdeen. Final score ( as you see below), 3-3. How about more frustrating bar stewards like Club Brugge the other day against Mechelen.

Staying with our premis that Bankers rarely lose, what could you have done if Mechelen ( as they did) take the lead? Lay Mechelen! Better yet, what if the match was still 0-1 coming to 90 minutes? Lay Mechelen at lower odds for potentially greater profit! You know what happened next, I am sure. Club Brugge equalised in the 90th minute.

I have already mentioned the idea of laying a team 2-0 up, to lock in profit. Consider the above elements too , in order to maximise the premis that Bankers rarely lose.

Yesterday

730pm – Dynamo Dresden v Dortmund – 1.26 away – 0-2

730pm – Morton v Stirling – 1.34 home – 4-0

All of the mentions yesterday won. A pity as the Hoff, for instance, were a relatively nice price at 1.63

Today

As ever research for www.drt.club must come first, and then I will update later.

6pm – Admira Wacker v Red Bull Salzburg – 1.44 away – Red Bull have beaten this side twice this season already 2-0 and 3-0. Why can they not do it a third time?

Admira have failed to score in 8 of their last 12 matches. Red Bull have scored 2+ goals in 6 of their last 7 away matches.

730pm – B Munich v Braunschweig – 1.08 home – 2 2-0 wins for Bayern in the most recent head to heads. This is the German Cup. Bayern are unbeaten in 14 cup matches.

730pm – Kickers Offenbach v Mgladbach – 1.35 away –  big gap in the leagues between these 2 sides. Is that enough? Slight concerns with Mgladbach’s 5 draws at fulltime in their last 10 cup matches which suggests they are happy with an extra time gamble.

745pm – Celtic v St Johnstone – 1.22 home – 3-0 and 2-1 wins already this season for Celtic and recent 3-2-4-4 goal tallies suggest they are up for this. Add the feel-good factor in easily dispatching Aberdeen, their nearest rival, and I’d expect an easy assignment tonight.

745pm – Man City v Leicester – 1.26 home – the echoes of Hull still haunt me! On form, Man City should score 2 goals minimum against a Leicester side who have lost away to all of the top 5. They have conceded at least 2 goals against all of the top 9 away and conceded 2+ goals in 9 of their last 10 matches.

8pm – Liverpool v Burnley – 1.39 home – Burnley stopped us from collecting at Chelsea. Can they do the same against Liverpool. Recent form says no, but what is rather ominous is the fact that Liverpool are yet to beat the teams 14th and lower at home ( 5 matches played, 4 draws and a loss). Remember, Chelsea were red carded before Burnley equalised.

BANKERS

745pm – Celtic v St Johnstone – 1.22 home

745pm – Man City v Leicester – 1.26 home – I’ll have to include a caveat to trade out if City lead 2-0.

730pm – B Munich v Braunschweig – 1.08 home. Can Bayern score before halftime ? It took 2 late goals last time so not for me.
