Selections for Tuesday 3rd March 2015

I wrote an article for my eletter on this subject, focussing on Banker Bets and showing you how we can profit from them.

I’ll list some apparent “bankers” in this post, and time permitting, will try to do this daily. I try to look for 1.1 odds or higher. The goal is to win back your initial stake and bank that immediately, then play on, banking profits every £10 or so.

This is not a strategy where I’m trying to create the biggest odds returns. I want a “banker”, a bet which is obvious.

Bankers and Blowouts – the mini-DRT angle.

www.drt.club is my trading service where I do all of my football research. I have noticed that these bankers, whilst sometimes frustrating us with score draws and throwing away 2-0 leads, rarely lose matches. How can you profit? Well are you familiar with football trading? That is, reacting to how a match unfolds in-play? If you are then you would have taken on faith the fact that these bankers rarely lose, and layed Dundee in play , when they were 1-3 up to bankers Aberdeen. Final score ( as you see below), 3-3. How about more frustrating bar stewards like Club Brugge the other day against Mechelen.

Staying with our premis that Bankers rarely lose, what could you have done if Mechelen ( as they did) take the lead? Lay Mechelen! Better yet, what if the match was still 0-1 coming to 90 minutes? Lay Mechelen at lower odds for potentially greater profit! You know what happened next, I am sure. Club Brugge equalised in the 90th minute.

I have already mentioned the idea of laying a team 2-0 up, to lock in profit. Consider the above elements too , in order to maximise the premis that Bankers rarely lose.

Yesterday

Nothing yesterday. CSKA got a mention and won 1-0.

Today

There are plenty of possibles today but I will have to do the research for www.drt.club first and will update a bit later.

Predominantly cup day today which makes life difficult. I see tomorrow’s coupon as a lot more promising.

4pm – Dinamo Zagreb v Istra – 1.18 home – the general rule is that when they’re at home, they win. BUT , when they are at home in the league, they win! This is a cup match.A 0-1 Zagreb lead from the first leg ( if this is a 2 legged match)

6pm – Aalen v Hoffenheim – 1.63 away – German Cup match so not quite banker territory. My interest is piqued by the fact that the betting market has tended to be spot on when they have priced Hoffenheim as odds on.

Add to that Aalen’s recent cup defeats have all come v Bundesliga sides and we may have a goer here.

630pm – Galatasaray v Manisaspor – 1.2 home – the ghosts of Turkish cup matches past. I recall in January 2015 that Galatasary lost when priced at 1.09!! Yikes! They are on a 6 match winning run in all competitions and have won 5 of their last 6 home matches, but calling the Turkish cup a banker is stretching it a little

730pm – Dynamo Dresden v Dortmund – 1.26 away – Dortmund have found themselves now, catapulting to 10th in the league where they were bottom previously and have only 1 loss in 19 cup matches, which was against Bayern Munich.

730pm – Morton v Stirling – 1.34 home  – Morton go top with a win. 5 wins and 2 draws in their last 7 matches. Stirling have conceded in their last 22 matches. Only 2 wins all season were against Stenhousemuir so this is a case of home in or draw.

745pm – Middlesbrough ( Boro) v Millwall – 1.45 home – Boro rarely concede more than one at home so it’s a case of score 2 and you win today ( they did that in the last 2 head to heads).Millwall have not beaten any top 8 side home or away.

BANKERS

I cannot put up the Croatian cup, or Turkish cup

730pm – Dynamo Dresden v Dortmund – 1.26 away – much better form , Dortmund should win this evening. The risk is the German cup. I know some of you don’t like betting in the German cup.

730pm – Morton v Stirling – 1.34 home – Scottish League One – Yikes! But the away team tend to only beat Stenhousemuir so I am going with the market here in a choice between home win and draw. Morton go top with a win.
