As promised in last week’s eletter, I thought I’d provide you with a glimpse into some of the other betting ideas I have which have not made it towww.whatreallywinsmoney.co.uk just yet.

Co-Favourites

Technically speaking, this idea should be called ‘Joint Favourites’/’Co-Favourites’… I really have to think of a funkier name!

The idea here was to see if any of races where there are joint/co-favourites in the Racing Post betting forecast that would yield a profit, predominantly as a Layer.

So, for an example, a race at Windsor had both Dora’s Field and Safira Menina at 3/1 forecast.

I am recording the results for the first-named horse, and the actual favourite if these are different.

I have collected 430 bets here and results are inconclusive to level stakes. For the first-named horse in the betting forecast (Dora’s Field in the example above), there is a current profit IF laying horses at odds of 5.5 and less than 10 decimal odds.

This reduces the bets to 163 with a profit of 50 points. Nice! But what about results over time? I need more results. Some promise though!

Multiple Winners

Another logical Lay idea. Look for races full of course, distance, beaten favourites. Surely the favourite will be vulnerable in these ‘multiple winner’ races?

Having recorded 811 bets, a profit can be realized by Laying favourites in these races at odds of 4.5 or higher. A perfectly respectable 33 points profit.

This is the result from December 23rd 2015 to April 23rd 2016. Once a year’s worth of results are ready, then perhaps this strategy has what it takes to make the leap to www.whatreallywinsmoney.co.uk.

Handicap Chases

Those two words together got my Lay juices flowing…

A Handicap: a competitive race where all horses are weighted to cross the line together.

A Chase: big obstacles.

How much more difficult do those favourites want it? That was the idea anyway!

After 800+ recorded bets, there is no discernible pattern here so far, bar that favourites at odds of 2.00 or lower – all 41 of them – have provided a six point profit.

Sometimes an idea just is not a goer in the cold light of day!

Irish Chases

I mentioned Irish Chases in a recent newsletter and recent eletter. Yes, I can make a profit with Irish Chases as both a backer of favourites and a Layer of favourites.

It’s the Kelly Brook of betting systems – perfect!

The reason I have not included this at www.whatreallywinsmoney.co.uk is because of the overly-complicated staking system. I want simple and practical strategies at the website.

I’m also recording results for Handicap Chases, the 2nd, 4th and 7th races of the day, 4th, 6th and 8th races of the day… heck, even the first 8 races of the day.

I’m recording first timers, in headgear, in handicap, in chases.

There’s plenty of number-crunching to do for you and once I find that winning – and consistently winning – strategy, you’ll be the first to know atwww.whatreallywinsmoney.co.uk.

Oh and let’s not forget the football strategies either!
