So I left you last week with the promise that I would ‘attack’ greyhound racing for you, dear punter. Well, I have done all of the background work.

I am collecting daily results for the following:

– OR races

– Handicap races only

– Best performing traps at each venue

– A6/7 races

Why have I focused on these?

OR races have the best of the best – will the favourites be Backable?

Handicap races give an advantage to the worst greyhound in terms of distance. How will favourites behave?

Best performing traps at each venue – can we operate a stop at a winner strategy based around the two best traps?

A6/7 races – the donkeys of the dog world. Are favourites vulnerable?

So, plenty going on behind the scenes. It takes time to build up a database of results as you can understand but fear not, there will be a greyhound section at www.whatreallywinsmoney.co.uk pretty soon.

Sequence-tastic!

I wrote about the art of sequencing in Friday’s eletter. No, I’ve not been picked for Strictly Come Dancing and need shiny sequins sewn onto my body-hugging leotard – I’m talking about the probability of an anomalous run or football results ending.

I gave a recent example of Cardiff not scoring, and they scored two in their next match (those two goals under further examination were actually own goals but you get the point).

I am so taken by sequencing as a potential profit maker that I’ll be adding sequences (patterns is another name) to the Football Testing Lab this weekend.

This is what I mean by sequencing:

• A team tends towards 0-0s in head to heads with another. That could end, long 0-0 sequences are rare
• A team fails to score in their opening matches and score in the next
• The favourites for the Championship (Newcastle) lose their opening two matches, and that ends with a win in their next two.

You get the idea, I hope.

So watch out for that in the Football Testing Lab. You are at an advantage here. You see I research football matches day-in and day-out for www.drt.club, my football trading service, and you get the benefit of this research!

By the way, I’m running a special offer for DRT right now – give it a trial right now, 30 days risk-free for only £1! This offer will close on August 30th, so click here and give it a go straightaway

Here’s a positive sequence tonight. Liverpool remains unbeaten in 11 League Cup matches. Yes, they take the League Cup seriously, it seems. So it would be abnormal if that pattern were broken by Burton Albion (Man City, yes, perhaps – not Burton).

Wolves have won their last three home League Cup matches 2-1. Do you think they will continue to win 2-1 at home tonight? This sequence cannot continue… Or can it…?

How would I use this sequence? If the match is 2-1 late on to Wolves, I would consider laying the 2-1 and hoping the sequence ends!

Strategies update next week

I’ll be giving you an update on all of the results at www.whatreallywinsmoney.co.uk next week as we approach a new month. I do like an end of the month round up.

I sense that the 2 Horse Race Placers has put together a solid run. Bankers and Blowouts was putting together a great run but we woz robbed. Atletico Madrid scored a 90th minute goal (the winner?) only for newly promoted Alaves to pick up an equalizer… wow!

So look out for an update next week. The long-term performance is good, I’m pleased to say.

Look out for sequences this weekend at the Football Testing Lab, and if you have any greyhound profit ideas you’d like me to follow, please let me know!
